Embracing the triumphs of the feminine
Spirit
Episode 7
We just sin differently
Why judge me just because you sin differently from me? The thing that
gets me the most and annoys me these days is how quick we are to judge. The
Bible says; “All have sinned and come short of the glory of God”.
When the adulterous woman met Jesus, why didn’t Jesus just simply say
“oh you have been caught again? you filthy adulterous woman! I cast you down to
the abyss”? Why didn’t he condemn her? Because of his compassion. You know,
each time I read that story, I try to imagine what was going on in the heart of
Jesus. He is so kind! J. As ladies, one attribute we are
all supposed to possess is the compassion of Christ. And this can only be
gotten when you love genuinely. No matter how prayerful and spiritual you are,
it’s all equal to zero when we fail to love each other.
This topic really annoys me when I think of it. Many of us claim to
love the Almighty when we can even leave our myopic life style. I was reading a
book written by my favorite author, McKinney Hammond when I saw something that
stuck me. She said, “we must all be careful of being so heavenly minded that we
are no earthly good”. The thing is, yes! Men want a loving Christian wife who
loves the lord but they also don’t want a boring one. They want a woman who is
sold out to the lord but is still in possession of all the attributes they want
in a woman.
Every day I hear things like;”just look at how she is dressed, who
does she think she is?” or things like “oh see how much make up she has on,
that girl is so fake”! Says who? Who are you to judge? Do you know how much
struggles that person is going through because of people like you? She may be
trying to hide under that façade because of people like you. People fight with
insecurities, inadequacies, fears and terrors every day. Either from home,
school, their academics, relationships, friends, name it! So why judge them
because you sin differently from them? Don’t let the wrath of God come down on
you because as the bible says judge not so you may not be judged.
Reach out to people. Touch their lives. Get to know them and try to
help them if you feel they don’t measure up to whatever “standards” you have.
By doing this, you may win someone to God and leave a legacy. DON’T JUDGE
OTHERS COS YOU SIN DIFFERENTLY FROM THEM!
