Break down those walls
At times, we as ladies build up some walls that our past relationships have set up and use them as defenses against future relationships. We fight off any one that tries to come close and we close our hearts against anything or anybody that tries to show us love because we believe all they do is hurt us.
It’s alright to feel hurt, cry, break things, and at times, it seems building walls is the best thing to do. We become so cold, fearless and hard and it seems nobody can get to us. We wear pretty dresses, make our hairs pretty, make up our faces to hide the pain and start our day! Despite this hardness, we still feel the pain, go to bed to cry at night and feel lonely sometimes.
While we are doing all these, let’s just make sure we look out in order not to make the mistake of pushing the ones that really care away. And how would we know the right people? By giving people a chance. Yes! you have been hurt, at times the pain is so deep that your heart automatically closes and nothing can open it. But sweetheart, let go of all the pain and hurt.
“But when I opened the door, he was gone. My loved one had tired of waiting and left. And I died inside-oh, I felt so bad! I ran out looking for him but he was nowhere to be found!”- Song of Songs 5:6
This is the story of Solomon’s lover in the bible. Don’t push everyone away so that you won’t have to run out and look for them at the end and not find them
Sweetheart, let go of the pain, let go of the emotions, let go of everything. Even if it seems too heavy to let go off, ask Jesus to take it off you and he will.
