I’m sure we have heard this “when the past calls, send it to voice mail; chances are it has nothing new to say.
Exactly! Many at times, we ladies go back to past relationships immediately our exes call saying they miss us. Ohh it’s so flattering right! The thought of being missed and the feeling of being wanted by someone is so good and we can’t resist it! We go back and the things that made the relationship go wrong in the first place would appear again and you come out with a more broken heart than you had before. And though it was going through a healing process, the wounds open up again and you start hurting afresh.
See ladies your ex calling back to
say he is sorry or what has he isn’t always the best thing. There may be this little voice telling you to stay back but no, you still go for it because you have the hope things are gonna work out again. The past seems so safe and we are scared to live outside our past.
Move forward my dear! Send your past to voice mail because, ok, what new thing does he have to say? Take hold of your live and disengage your happiness from his and never go back to your old vomit. This isn’t to say that you should never go back to your ex especially when you KNOW things have the chance to work out. But never go back because of fear of living alone or because you think no one would understand you and treat you better than him. How would you know when you have never tried? Don’t tie your happiness to one person! Move forward girl and explore healthy and wonderful relationships with God and others!
