The friend , the freak and the forever
According to our favorite author, McKinney Hammond, there are 3 types of ladies ; the FRIEND the FREAK and the FOREVER! She went ahead to remind us of a song that says,
“she is a freaky kinda lady, the kind you don’t take home to mama”
Ladies, we need to understand that men categorize us and it’s not like you automatically fall into any category, you choose the category under which you fall!
THE FRIEND
She is more than a sister to him; he protects her like a sister. Let’s forget about the fear of “friend zoning” which guys are scared of nowadays, (heaven alone knows why). She hasn’t friend zoned him per say but there no romantic connection between them. It isn’t romantic, but it’s as sweet and awesome as can be he loves being around her and turns to her for advice. She is never afraid to scold him and he respects the hell outta her. He takes her into his arms like a sister and she guides his path in most of his decision, and she is his own Deborah.
THE FREAK
I was having a conversation with a friend the other day, when she gave me an illustration using an apple. Women are like apples. A man comes into the dining room, sees two apples and salivates for the two of them. He picks up one and bites into it and after tasting it and realizing it’s not so great after wards, dumps the apple that allowed itself to be eaten without being finished and it turns brown. He then longs for the second apple which he hasn’t tasted. This apple says ”No! I don’t wanna be tasted until I am sure you want to eat and finish me and not just taste me, I want to be sure that am gonna add to you”
The freaks are the tasted apples. He calls you for one night stands, you do all you think you need to do to get his attention and you end up being noticed, but for the wrong things. And at the end, he leaves you feeling all rejected and dumped. You always call him first and he is always too busy to talk to you. And am like. WHAT!! What are you still doing there hon?
THE FOREVER
Woman of the year! The proverbs 31 woman! The one he takes home to momma and she bonds with her immediately. The one he can’t wait to call at night and see in the morning. The one he dreams of and plans his future with. His friends know her, and he doesn’t only see her as a queen but treats her like one. The one he knows he is going to be with forever and doesn’t show her and form of disrespect!
This isn’t to make you feel bad or proud about yourself sweet heart. It’s just to let you know how we are categorized and then try to help us choose wisely, the category we wanna be in. in the next few days, we shall be exploring the different ways of the freaks and the forever J
